Cabbagetown & Church Street beat Parkdale & Roncesvalles Village by just one vote!

Date: Saturday 2nd April 2011.
Meet: 10:00am at SE corner of Church and Bloor, in front of BMO [map]
Route: Straight down Church Street!
Lunch: Duggan’s [confirmed]
Afternoon: Zigzag over to Queen and Jarvis; up Jarvis to Dundas, then up George St to Gerrard. Cut across Allan Gardens then E on Carlton to Ontario St. Follow Ontario round to Winchester, zigzag through Metcalfe, Millington, Woodstock, Carlton and Sumach before heading W on Spruce St to Parliament.

Distillery District & St Lawrence Market Walk, March 19th

Thanks to Jeff Stewart and Allan Parke for organising this joint walk for TOPW and BLASC.

Date: Saturday 19th March 2011.

Meet: 10:00am at Balzac’s Coffee, straight through the front gates to The Distillery District, to the back of the complex.

Route: Wander around The Distillery District for about one hour; then walk along The Esplanade to St Lawrence Market; eat lunch; wander around St Lawrence Market; then walk down Jarvis Street to Sugar Beach; then along Queens Quay and Parliament Street back to The Distillery District; to eat, drink and be merry.

Lunch: 12:30 pm C’est What, 67 Front Street East, Toronto.

Post-walk: 5:30 pm Mill Street Brew Pub, 55 Mill Street, Building 63, Toronto (in The Distillery District).

Bring your tripod – apparently the moon will be at lunar perigee: “The full moon could appear up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter in the sky, especially when it rises on the eastern horizon at sunset or is provided with the right atmospheric conditions.”
