Dear Toronto PhotoWalks Members,
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who participates and makes Toronto PhotoWalks the vibrant group that it is. Your enthusiasm and support have helped us reach an incredible milestone — our 300th walk! That includes those of you we only see every six years! 😀
A particularly huge thank you goes to our walk leaders and admins, who work tirelessly behind the scenes. While it might look easy from the outside, without the efforts of Alan, Brad, Jeff, Jerome, Mark, Vicki, and others, the group would quickly grind to a halt. If anyone is interested in planning a walk (which honestly isn’t very complicated), please let us know and we will gladly assist.
Mid-November will mark our 15th anniversary! Not bad for something that started with a few of us meeting up before the Toronto Flickr Group meetups. We continued the photowalks through that winter and have maintained our regular schedule (1st and 3rd Saturday of each month) regardless of the weather.
Speaking of Flickr, I’ll give a plug to the TOPW Flickr group. That’s our recommended place to share your shots from the walks; we don’t allow them in the Facebook group to keep it easy to spot announcements, etc. If you’re not sure how to post to our group, we’ve written an FAQ page to help.
Thank you once again for being part of this amazing journey. Here’s to many more walks and memories!
Cheers!
Paul.
