Hair of the Dog 2024

We’re kicking off the New Year with our traditional “Hair of the Dog” photowalk. (If you’re not familiar with the phrase, it’s meant to be a hangover cure.)

NOTE: This walk will be on January 1st, not the first Saturday of the month.

Date: Monday, January 1st.
Meet for coffee & chats: 9:30am at Tim Hortons on the corner of Bloor West and Bedford Rd, just south of St.George subway station (Bedford exit).
Walk starts at 10am.

Route: West on Bloor then south on St.George until Max Gluskin House. We’ll take the path on the left, around the north of Innis College Residence and cut over to Devonshire Place, heading south to Hoskin Ave. East on Hoskin then across into Queen’s Park (the park, not the building!). We’ll head SE through the park to the Queen’s Park & Wellesley St intersection. South on QP Crescent, past the Police Memorial and turning left on College at the Fire Fighter Memorial. North on Dr.Emily Stowe Way (named for the first female physician to practise in Canada) and Surrey Place, then right on Grosvenor Street. South on Bay then east on Grenville St, all the way to Yonge St. South to Carlton and east (past Maple Leaf Gardens) to Church St, then north to Wood Street and the pub, the aptly named Hair Of The Dog!
