Date: Saturday 8th May 2010
Meet: 10am at Cherry St & Villiers St. [The 72A Pape bus stops at this junction. If you’re driving, you can park at the Keating Channel Pub.]
Route: South on Cherry St, detour around Polson Pier (aka The Docks), all the way to Cherry Beach (aka Clarke Beach Park). We’ll stop here for lunch (see below) then go east along the beach, past Westwood Sailing Club, on to Unwin Ave just before it ends. Fortunately there’s a footbridge 🙂 Continue along Unwin, turn up Leslie St, west on Commissioners St, then cut across to Villiers St and end at the pub. [Route map]
Lunch: **Bring something to eat/drink! We’ll be passing T&T, so you can pick something up if you forget!
Post-walk: Keating Channel Pub & Grill [Booked for 6pm but we may be able to get seats earlier – there’s an all-day poker competition!]
