Andrew Smith is organising/leading this walk:

The morning walk of 4.4km will take us through the grounds of the Aga Khan Islamic Centre, then down into the Don Valley along the East Don Trail, with the group photoshoot at the “Rainbow Bridge”. Then heading over to Don Mills Plaza for lunch.

Walk Notes

TTC to start spot:
Please note that the SUBWAY will be CLOSED from St. George to Pape stations
#25 Don Mills bus from Pape station – about a 20 minute ride. / Get off at Wynford Drive
#34 Eglinton East from either Eglinton or Kennedy Station – about 25 mins / Get off at Don Mills and walk north
#100 Flemingdon Park bus from Eglinton Station – about a 25 minute ride / Bus turns north at Don Mills Road, so get off at Wynford Drive

If you are driving to this walk, I suggest that you park in the southernmost parking lot of the Don Mills Plaza. Both our morning and afternoon walks finish close to there. It is about a 1km walk south to the start spot.

Most of the morning walk is out in the opening with little or no shade. Bring water, hydrate, sunscreen, etc.

The afternoon walk through the gardens will be shadier.

No washrooms for most of the route. If you see one – use it!

Andrew will be leading the walk. He will be cracking the whip and leaving the stragglers to fend of the wildlife of the Valley themselves. Being a phone Luddite he has no cellphone so we need someone with a phone to volunteer as the point of contact.
