TOPW: Towers and Reflections

Nancy is leading our next walk, “Towers and Reflections”.

Date: September 7th, 2024.

Meet for coffee & chats anytime after 9:00am at Dineen Coffee, 140 Yonge St, at the corner of Yonge and Temperance St.

Head out at 10:00am. We will walk west on Temperance Street to Bay and then down Bay to Adelaide St. (previously Trump Hotel and on the north side the tallest office building at 222 Bay Street) and walk west to the towers of Richmond-Adelaide Centre at 100-130 Adelaide St. West. From there walking south to King Street and west to York and stop at the TD Centre towers and the courtyard that fronts onto Wellington. From there we will walk east to Wellington/Bay to see the Royal Bank Plaza. From there we cross Bay to the southeast corner and go into BCE Place with the beautiful glass ceiling and the old bank building. From there we walk up Yonge Street to Melinda Street and west to Commerce Court courtyard; we can peek into the Commerce Court North Building at 25 King West, the oldest of the towers, then go to 1 King Street West which is open to the public and is now condos/hotel and is beautiful inside. From there we’ll walk east on King then down Victoria St and Scott St to Berczy Park and the Flatiron building.
