South on Yonge in North York

Our next walk will take us south on Yonge Street from Finch Avenue to Sheppard Avenue, exploring Mel Lastman’s downtown North York.

Meet for coffee & chats any time after 9:00am at Starbucks, 5650 Yonge Street, at the northwest corner of Yonge and Finch.

Walk: 10:00am start walking south on the sunny side of the street, checking out the stores, restaurants, condos, office buildings, etc. At least one detour will be to visit North York Civic Centre and Mel Lastman Square.

Lunch: 12:00pm in the Food Court at Yonge Sheppard Centre, at the northeast corner of Yonge and Sheppard. The food selection is quite good. https://yongesheppardcentre.com/directory/eateries
For those desiring beer, the Yonge Sheppard Centre is right across from The Frog: A Firkin Pub at 4854 Yonge Street.
