To Parkdale and Beyond, July 28th
Sunday, July 22nd, 2018Mary is leading our next scheduled walk on July 28th
10:00am – Meet at Safehouse Coffee, 1615 Dundas West, at Brock.
We’ll head south to Dufferin and Queen and then walk through Parkdale (along King, Queen and alleys) towards Roncey.
We’ll stop somewhere for lunch depending on numbers, walking speed and weather – there are lots of options.

Flash Photography Workshop, July 14th
Sunday, July 8th, 2018Brad is leading a Flash Photography Workshop in Graffiti Alley:
This photo walk we are going to do a workshop on using flash with your camera. We are going to shoot in Graffiti Alley around Spadina and Queen. (If you don’t have a flash, you can use your camera’s built-in flash or just go ahead and shoot the Alley.)
We are meeting up at Aroma Espresso Bar at 535 Queen St West
We will meet for 9:30 am and have a coffee and start the workshop at 10:00 am.
You find me in the alley because I need to do some set up work.You will need to bring your flash if you have one for your camera. And mount to use off-camera and also any triggers you use.
We will take turns being models.During the workshop we are going to learn the following flash techniques:
- The camera flash sync speed (Look this up for your camera)
- On-camera flash using TTL and flash compensation
- On-camera flash with a modifier
- On camera flash in manual mode
- How to use a ND filter with a flash
- On-camera flash using high speed sync
Demonstration of off-camera flash doing the following shooting
- Off-camera TTL Flash and high-speed sync
- Off-camera manual flash
- Off-camera flash a with a modifier
- Using a grid on the flash
I will have a couple of manual flashes that will fit some cameras.
My flashes and triggers are for Sony and can be shared.
I use Godox flashes and triggers so if you have a Godox transmitter you can use my flashes.We can stop for a coffee break after 2 hours.
After the 3 to 4-hour workshop, we will walk down to the Firkin on King, 461 King St West (unconfirmed) 416-979-5464If the weather is calling for rain, we will still meet up and do a leaderless walk through Queen West and do the workshop on the next walk weather permitting.
I am parking at the GreenP lot and returning my equipment to my car before the pub. Anyone bringing their equipment can do the same.

Rainbow walk, June 9th
Tuesday, June 5th, 2018Thanks to Brad for organising the next photowalk. Hopefully I’ll be able to pick up my camera and join you soon.
June is Pride month in Toronto. The theme of this walk is rainbow colour photos. We will meet up and walk down Church Street looking for photos. We will make some stops along the way and end the walk at Cest’What on Front St.

Pedestrian Sunday’s Kensington May 2018

This is an official Sunday walk (instead of the usual Saturday)
11:00am at Eative Film Cafe 230 Augusta
We will walk the neighbourhood.
People can then head off to explore the festival.
Anyone who doesn’t know the area can stay with me and I will show them around, after which they can head off to do their own thing.
