Upcoming photo walks

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

Our regular schedule is to go out every other Saturday:

  • Our next scheduled event is on Saturday February 4th; we’ll be in/around Liberty Village [details]
  • The calendar (in the sidebar) uses Google Calendar, so you can import it into your own organiser!

Suggestions for future locations are here; past walks are here; if you’d like to help organise a walk, find out what’s involved.

TOPW show

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

Toronto Photo Walks is holding its first group exhibition at Studio 561 on March 17th to 31st. Details are on the TOPWshow.ca website; there’s even a poster for you to print and display :)

The opening party will be on Saturday March 17th, 5pm onwards – I’m sure we can arrange for green beer for those who are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.

We’re everywhere

Friday, November 11th, 2011

As well as this website, you’re probably aware that Toronto Photo Walks can also be found on Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and FourSquare. (Our LiveJournal account has fallen into neglect.)

Well, now we’re on Google+ too! The one “catch” is that you have to add (“circle”) the TOPW group before we can add you back, and if you ever drop the group (forshame!) you’re automatically dropped by the group.

You can also find these links (and more) in the sidebar on the website.

p.s. No, we’re not on 500px as a group, but you can find many of the TOPW members there (e.g. Paul).

Another milestone

Saturday, October 9th, 2010

We’re approaching a year since the first Toronto Photo Walk [previous walks] and we’re about to hit 300 members in each of the Flickr group and the Facebook group!

Do you want to help organise a walk?

Sunday, June 13th, 2010

If you’d like to help with the organisation of some photo walks, drop me a line. Send me your email address, cell phone number and a guide to which part(s) of Toronto you know well enough to organise a walk.

What does it take to organise a walk? There’s obviously the route but also arranging the lunch and post-walk stops. There’s usually 3 or 4 days between closing the poll (which determines the area for the next walk) and posting the details. (more…)
